About the club

The official name of our club is "IAS Investment Club." This club is a community that was established by a group of people with years of experience in the financial industry, including myself, under the guidance of Professor Shimizu, and this year marks the sixth year. The opportunity to establish the club began when I returned to my home country of Japan earlier than planned due to the rapid regional spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although I had time to spare after returning to Japan, I did not lose my passion for investing, and under the call and leadership of Professor Shimizu, I made the most of the connections, resources, and experience I had accumulated to establish the IAS Investment Club. The goal is to help more individual investors aim for long-term asset growth through proven investment skills and asset improvement.

Currently, the club is run by several original members, including Professor Shimizu, each of whom has abstracted different groups and communities. The group you are participating in here is one of them. Including the communities of other instructors, the total number of members of the IAS Investment Club exceeds 1,000.

The main goal of the IAS Investment Club is to provide our members with professional investment guidance and sound asset formation strategies to help them develop sound judgment and practical profits. This will ease their concerns about the Japanese pension system and their future, and help them realize a wealthy and fulfilling second life.

Starting in 2021, under the leadership of Dr. Shimizu, we have launched a paid individual support service called the "Premier Retirement Plan." This plan is now in its fourth year, and initially focused on Japanese stocks, but has since expanded its investment scope to include US stocks, primary markets, high-yield corporate bonds, and high-dividend stock funds.

This is the result of continuously strengthening our investment strategy by utilizing the network that Professor Shimizu and I built while still at Goldman Sachs, and in the first year we achieved a 159% growth in principal, and last year we recorded a high return of 635%, more than 10 times the original amount. This has been met with great support and amazement from new participants as well as existing members.

In addition to providing daily support, we are also taking on the challenge of investment education, which we consider to be an important task. Since 2020, the IAS Investment Club has been holding an "Investment Quiz Competition" every May to commemorate the new fiscal year, providing an opportunity to learn casually while providing carefully selected questions. This year marks the sixth time the competition has been held, and it is held after about two months of preparation every year, with more than 1,000 participants each time.

Since its founding, the IAS Investment Club has upheld the principles of "professionalism, honesty and integrity" and aims to continue to be a reliable, long-term partner for all investors.
